Street & Documentary Photographer
I'm Jillian and I'm a freelance photographer from Detroit, Michigan.
Really, I've had a camera in my hands since I can remember as I have the great fortune of having a father who shares the same passions as me. My dad introduced me to the world of photography at a young age. Since then, that passion has only grown.
As a photographer, I aim to capture the small, beautiful moments. My attachment to visual storytelling ties in with a constant urge to observe, question and admire the world around me. My hope is that I can tell people's stories and draw light on social issues in a way that is visually pleasing.
Aside from my love for photography, I also have a love for seeing and experiencing the world. Over the past few years, I've lived in both Spain and Hawaii and have traveled to 10 different countries. Those travels can be seen through my photographs; including my book titled 'Todos los Días', which consists of photographs taken during my time living in Spain and traveling across Europe. Currently, I am back in Michigan working on several independent photo projects.
